On globalising HRIS : PART 1
According to
Lodge (1993), globalization is a process forced by global flows of people,
information, trade and capital. It is accelerated by technology, which is
driven by a few hundred multinational corporations and gives injurious to
environment. There lies in the guessing of whether it is wise to leave
globalization in the hands of these few corporations, or might it not make more
sense to seek greater involvement from the global community. Nowadays, HRIS are
becoming global. According to Anne-Marie Kontakos, a lot of new and advances technology

Globalization gives
a lot of impacts to economy, and technology. For economy globalization, the
rising of dependence to economy business now are happens. Firm and business are
widely dispersed in foreign investment. Moreover, for technology globalization,
technology will become sophisticated. According to web, http://mfrstudio.board-realtors.com/t3-apakah-itu-globalisasi,
the causes happen because of computer system and information that we are used
today are changing very quick and fast. According to Christopher Bartlett and
Sumantra Ghoshal, they divide worldwide Organizational Models into four types
such as multinational, global, international, and transnational. All of these
models have a difference in degree of centralization, level of responsiveness
to local issues, and its ability to leverage and share innovation and learning
worldwide. Models-Multinational is a model that can suit the needs with the
location. It is most sensitive to individual cultural and national differences.
Second is Global Model. It is among the models are not flexible. It only
minimizes the needs of local, national, and regional business units. Next is
International Model. According to Karen Baeman & Alfred J.Walker, the model
continues a sustaining of an original system but it still under control. It
allows adapting and transfers to local but can continue the original ones. For
Transnational HRIS, it is an integrated system and very flexible that can
increase complexity, diversity and volatility. This models usually are using by
big and large organization to developed particularly effective solution to settle
the problems and shares with other units around the world.
